A small, local exterior cleaning outfit based near Sturminster Newton in North Dorset. Eighteen years of roofs, render, drives and patios across Somerset and Dorset — and a fairly stubborn view about how each of them should be cleaned.

Jet This Way is run by Jamie out of Hazelbury Bryan, just outside Sturminster Newton. It has never been a franchise or a national brand with a call centre — when you ring the number on this site, you get the person who will be quoting the job and, more often than not, doing it.
Eighteen years in, most of the work comes from people who have had us before or been told about us by a neighbour. That is a good position to be in, and it is also a fragile one: it only works while every job is done properly. It is the main reason we would rather turn work down than rush it.
We work across North Dorset and South Somerset — Sturminster Newton, Blandford, Shaftesbury, Gillingham, Sherborne, Yeovil, Wincanton, Dorchester and the villages in between. Domestic and commercial, houses and holiday lets, farm buildings and forecourts.
The method matters more than the machine.
Almost every bit of exterior cleaning damage we get called out to look at was caused by someone using pressure where pressure did not belong. A driveway and a clay tile are not the same material and should never meet the same lance.
- Roofs and render are softwashed. Low pressure, hand clearing and the right treatment — never a high-pressure lance on a tile or a rendered elevation.
- Hard surfaces get the pressure they can take. Block paving, concrete and tarmac are washed properly and, where it applies, re-sanded or re-coloured afterwards.
- Old and soft stone is treated as old and soft stone. Ham stone, lime mortar and weathered flags get a gentle, treatment-led clean or they get left alone.
- Biocide treatment after the clean. The clean removes what is there; the treatment is what keeps it away for years rather than months.
- We clear up properly. Gutters cleared of what comes down, borders and drains protected, everything washed down before we leave.
- Honest answers. If a surface should be repaired rather than cleaned, we will say so and lose the work.
