Tarmac does not usually fail — it fades. The bitumen oxidises to a washed-out grey, moss creeps in from the edges and the whole drive starts to look tired. That is a surface problem, and a surface problem has a surface fix.
The clean comes first: moss, weeds and leaf staining removed from the full surface and right into the edges, with the pressure controlled so the tarmac is cleaned without loosening the aggregate underneath it.
Once the surface is dry, a jet-black tarmac restorer goes on to bring the colour back evenly across the whole area. It works just as well on driveways, parking areas, forecourts and small car parks — and it typically costs a fraction of having the surface relaid.

Does tarmac re-colouring actually work?
Yes, and the visual difference is dramatic. It is a restorer that soaks into the oxidised surface and brings the black back evenly. What it will not do is repair potholes or crumbling edges — that is a resurfacing job.
How long does the colour last?
Typically three to five years depending on traffic and how much sun the drive gets. Reapplying is far cheaper than the first treatment.
Will pressure washing damage tarmac?
It can if the pressure is too high or held in one spot — you can lift the aggregate and leave scars. Tarmac needs a controlled, moving technique rather than maximum power.
My tarmac has cracks and holes. Can you help?
Cleaning and re-colouring is cosmetic. If the surface is breaking up structurally you need it repaired or resurfaced first — we will tell you straight rather than take the job.
Can you do car parks and commercial areas?
Yes. We work on forecourts, parking areas and communal spaces as well as domestic drives, and can work around opening hours.
