Who we are

What we collect

We only collect what we need in order to quote for and carry out work:

• Contact details — your name, phone number and email address, when you submit the quote form, email us, call or text.
• Job details — the address or area of the property, what needs cleaning, and any photos you send us.
• Correspondence — the messages between us about a quote or a booking.
• Technical information — standard web server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited.

The quote form on this site opens a message in your own email program rather than sending data to a database on this website. Whatever you send arrives with us as an ordinary email.

Why we use it

We use your information to prepare a quote, arrange and carry out the work, invoice you, and keep records of jobs we have done. Our lawful bases for this are the performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running the business, and where applicable our legal obligation to keep financial records.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we do not sell or share your information with third parties for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into work are normally deleted within twelve months. Records relating to jobs we have carried out are kept for as long as needed for warranty, insurance and accounting purposes — financial records are retained for six years, as UK tax rules require.

Who we share it with

We share information only where it is necessary: with our accountant for invoicing and tax, with our email and website hosting providers as part of storing and delivering messages, and with our insurers or legal advisers if a claim or dispute arises. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses cookies only where they are needed for the site to work correctly, together with any analytics used to understand how the site is being used. Embedded content on this site — such as the Google Maps windows on our area pages — is served by third parties who may set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not behave as expected if you do.

Photographs of work

We photograph our work before and after cleaning, and we may use those photographs on this website, in quotes and on social media. Photographs are taken of the property surfaces, not of people, and we do not publish addresses alongside them. If you would prefer photographs of your property not to be used, tell us and we will not use them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask for it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email contact@jetthisway.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Security

We keep your information on password-protected devices and accounts and limit access to it to those who need it to do the work. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top of it.
